Welcome Spring!

Dear Spring, we've missed you!!

We had a great time loving the sun for picnic, park, and farm time!!

I love Harpers arm around his big sister!

cheesy!!

Harper owned this rocking climbing wall!

Dad called to invite us out for supper Sunday night.  Harper told the girls to stay behind as he said "Grandpa, don't we need to go check the steaks?".  And followed it up with "you girls stay here, this is boys work, right Grandpa?"  This boy loves the men in his life!

This is Charli's favorite cat, with a blue eye and a green eye.  She wanted to name it "Best Cat Ever" but Grandpa was not sure about that, so they settled on "CC" which is short for Charli's Cat...or maybe Charlie's Cat.  I guess these two will need to fight over that part!

Charli was feeding CC and the others by hand!

After a work project Saturday I buzzed to Omaha to enjoy the Jason Aldean concert with friends!  This IS the year of concerts, let's not forget!!  Thanks to these girls we enjoyed a great show!

Charli got to drive across the field and according to her daddy...whens she got near the farm place there were a few little boys watching her with a little jealousy in their eyes!  (and I think a little pride in hers!)

Playing catch up, kind of!

What is this world coming to when it is nearly a month between updates and pictures are only courtesy of my iPhone?! I MUST get better at this!

Charli was a rockstar for her tests at Childrens earlier this month!

On one of the few nice days Charli spent a long time in the "house" on the swing set.  She named the area the "love club"!

a VERY excited Charli to go to her first sleepover!  These girls had a great time, stayed up until after 1:00 if I remember correctly!  What a fun experience!

This little boy cannot wait until spring gets here, though he has pretty much decided (and I might have to agree) that spring will never come and Summer will be next!

we love a good mustache around here!  Charli said we were Mario and Luigi!

Just a regular night at our house!  Not sure who won...but since their butts are now online, I guess it was me! ;-)

I'm a lucky girl!  I posted on facebook last week a picture of no-bake cookies to my sister stating that it was a rough day and that she could make me cookies!  She declined but a few hours later I had a ring at my door.  My childhood friend, Missy, was standing at my door with a plate full of (amazing) cookies!  Made my week!  A bit later I got back on facebook to brag about her and my sister-in-law (Amanda) had made me some too!  She delivered them the next day, but my 'wonderful' (or less than wonderful in this case) husband at them all...I had a crumb two days later!

GREAT kite weather!

In an effort to gain two new pets Charli posted 6 posters around her room that all stated "Hamstre and Gold fishs" (Hamster & Goldfish).  Not sure I know what she is getting at!

I remember making this when I was little...pretty sure I was older than 6 AND I am pretty sure I wrote boys names and dream jobs on the inside.  I know Charli will get there eventually, until then I will treasure her messages!  "I love God and Jeesis To" and "I hope you have a grat day".

While tucking her in last night I mentioned that her room was so quiet.  I asked Charli if she wanted her radio back on to which she replied "No mom, that is when I talk to God".  Melted my heart.

I hope I update before Memorial Day, but I can't make any promises based on past behavior.
Just in case ..rock your summer ya'll!

the sun is shinning, the grass is green!

Sorry for the delay, I posted our "results" on facebook...but forgot to come here too!  Charli was a rockstar at her appointment, as usual.  She had her echo and EKG, together they took about 45 minutes or so.  She sat patiently and let them place all the stickers and didn't let out even one squeal when they look them all off! All in all she had about 30 stickers placed I'd bet.

After her tests we had the chance to meet Sammy, another little boy fighting NB.  He is from Columbus, but we have never met.  Charli had a great check up with Dr. Thompson, Charli is doing just fine!  We were told that with a clear report from her EKG and echo Charli would not come back for TWO years!  That seems unbelievable.  When we go back Charli will be 8...what a milestone to be at the two year mark for appointments!  Each appointment brings a lot of emotions and fear, but as the spread out I can feel the normalcy and ability to let some of that fear slide go to the wayside.  (that is not to say it does not pop up it's ugly head when things don't seem just right!!)

Thanks for all the emails, texts, and facebook messages last week!  We have so many people who still follow Charli's story, it is humbling to be reminded of this.

The weather has turned into spring now, which is great!  We all have spring fever!  I will post pictures - just wanted to get this up since I have been a bit MIA!
