sweet memories

I have pictures, but they will have to wait for a night with more time!

Friday night I was asked to help another Relay For Life by speaking at an event in Wayne County...it was neat to see the way they do things!  What caught my attention was walking the track and seeing Charli's name in lights in a town over 90 minutes away.  Touching.

Sunday I helped another team here in our town for their Relay fundraiser by singing several songs at a concert/fundraiser they held that evening for their team.  My last song was "Anyway" by Martina McBride.  When I finished Charli walked up to me, as I was walking to the back of the church and handed me a note.  She had asked one of her grandma's to write me a note...but told her what to write.  The note said "I am happy for you tonight.  I Love you.  Good Job"  It said a few other things, but I don't have it in front of me right now!  On our way home she told me how good of a job I did, when I giggled and said "who told you to say that" she said "mom, why would anyone tell me to say that, I could hear you with my ears you know"  Ahhh, it was touching!  Chances are that yes, someone did tell her to tell me that...but she was sweet with her delivery!

We are missing Lynn this week as they are on vacation, but the kids have enjoyed having special people come to the house to play with them!  Harper is still working on breaking FOUR of his teeth through, unreal!  He will be two on Sunday and he is still working on teeth...it feels like it may never end!

I am sure I will have lots of pictures to share after the party this weekend...until then have a great week!

PS.  Our Relay For Life is next Friday...HOPE to see you there!!  :-D

  1. Your children never fail to make me smile! Just so you know your not alone, my Jnr (now 4.5) only got the last of his baby teeth at 3.5yrs (so 1 yr ago!) The bonus of this is that they last longer and then the adult teeth last longer - or so I have been told :D Hope they aren't bothering him too much.

  2. Pictures remind us of what we had. I always collect pictures and post them in my private blog.
